Charge Artists
Charge Artists are the head of the Paint Department
They plan how scenery will be painted using documents and research from the designer
The Paint Charge will then work with the technical director on the schedule of when scenery will be available and how it will be staged for painting
They also manage the crews of scenic artists a practicum students that aid in painting. They teach techniques and make sure the painting done by many hands is unified. They are in constant communication with the designer as well.
I take great pride in how professional our student painters are. They manage huge projects at a level that is uncommon in an undergraduate program. They are confident and skilled.
